Juvenile Great Egrets caught in a “Muppet moment.” Given this image alone, you might conjure up images of the sweet and hapless Beaker, from the Muppet Show. Don’t be fooled… Most of the time, these nestlings are engaged in a brutal, continual battle for dominance, especially when the adult returns to the nest with food.
